About
Pocket Lap started as a group chat where three friends kept sending each other links to games and arguing about which ones were worth the storage space. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are.,We're an independent team. Nobody tells us what to cover, and we buy or download everything ourselves. When we review a game we actually finish a decent chunk of it — a couple of races, a few dozen levels, enough to know whether the fun holds up or fizzles out after twenty minutes.,How do we pick games? Partly it's what's new and getting talked about, partly it's stuff readers send us, and partly it's just curiosity. If a game looks interesting on a small screen, we give it a shot. We care most about controls that feel good under a thumb and about whether a session fits into a bus ride.,We write the way we'd explain a game to a friend. If something annoyed us, we say so. If we couldn't put it down, we say that too.
