Coin Strike
Coin Strike is one of those games that looks almost too simple in a screenshot and then eats an hour of your evening. You flick metal tokens across a wooden board, trying to knock the target pieces into the marked zones. The physics are the whole draw here — everything has weight, tokens ricochet off the walls, and a well-aimed shot that clears three pieces at once feels genuinely great.
Control is a single drag: pull back to set power and angle, release to shoot. It reads your thumb well and I rarely felt a miss was the game's fault. Later boards add moving obstacles and pieces that split when hit, so you start planning bank shots instead of just aiming straight. There's a light progression of new board layouts that keeps things fresh without turning into a grind.
What I liked most is how honest the sessions are. A round takes a minute or two, so it's perfect for a queue or a coffee break, but it doesn't nag you to come back. The presentation is clean, the sound of a solid hit is oddly addictive, and it ran smoothly even on an older test phone.
What we liked
- Chunky, believable physics on every shot
- One-thumb controls that respond instantly
- Short rounds that fit any spare minute
