Neon Drift Alley

Neon Drift Alley is the racing game I keep going back to. It's not a simulator — it's pure arcade joy, all about holding a drift as long as you can through neon-soaked corners. Tilt or on-screen steering both work, and the tilt option surprised me by feeling precise rather than floaty.

The sense of speed is excellent. Streaks of light blur past, the soundtrack thumps, and chaining drifts fills a boost meter you can dump on the next straight. Tracks are short loops, so a race is over in a couple of minutes and you're immediately hitting restart to beat your own time.

Car handling differs enough between vehicles to matter, and unlocking a grippier ride actually changes your lines. It's a little light on track variety, but what's there is polished and runs at a steady frame rate.
