The cozy sims I play to unwind before bed

Some evenings I don't want a challenge, I want a warm bath of a game. Cozy simulators fill that gap: farms, shops, little towns that ask nothing of you except a gentle bit of tidying.

Skyfarm Orbit has been my go-to lately. Watering the whole island with one swipe is stupidly relaxing, and the floating-island layout gives it a look you don't see in every farm sim. There's no way to lose, which is exactly the point.

The best cozy games understand restraint. They give you a small next goal, let you decorate, and then let you go. The moment a 'relaxing' game starts pestering you with aggressive timers, the whole feeling collapses.

If you're picking a wind-down game, check whether it has a hard failure state or punishing energy systems. The good ones let you play for five minutes or fifty and feel equally fine about both.
